About Microphone Hire
Microphone Hire Melbourne
We like to think of our microphone selection as the mic drop of microphone hires! (Please don’t mic drop our mics, though; we know it looks cool as hell, especially if you’ve just made a killer speech, but c’mon, these things are expensive. Thanks in advance.)
We’ve got the perfect mic for every occasion. From wired to wireless, handheld to lapel, your voice shall be heard loud and clear.
For speeches or announcements at birthdays or events, our cabled or wireless SM58s are the way to go. Need to move around and keep your hands free? Our lapel mics are easily clipped onto your shirt, so you can work the crowd like a pro. And if you’re in a band and need specific mics for your instruments, we’ve got them. Whether it’s vocals, acoustic guitars, or drums, we’ll make sure you sound your best on stage.

What is the difference between cabled and wireless microphones?
Cabled microphones have a cable connected to the microphone and the mixer—great if you don’t need to move around or if you’re on a budget. Wireless microphones, on the other hand, give you the freedom to move without being tethered to anything.
-
Do the microphones come with stands?
Certainly! We’ve got regular tripod stands for standing or singing, as well as round base stands for a cleaner look. If you’re mic’ing up instruments like guitar cabs or drum kits, we’ve got short stands, too.
-
How long do the batteries last in wireless microphones?
Our wireless mics last about 40 hours on fresh batteries, so you won’t have to worry about them conking out mid-event. If you’re doing a speech and it goes for more than 40 hours, we need to chat.
-
Can microphones be connected to any speaker system I rent from you?
Unquestionably! We’ll provide the right cables and mixer to hook up your mic to any of our speaker systems.
-
Will we have feedback using your microphones (that high-pitched annoying noise)?
Feedback can happen if you’re standing too close to the front of the speaker when speaking or the settings, like gain, are up too high. We’ll share some tricks and tips to avoid it, and it’s always best to test everything before the event to ensure smooth sailing.
