About Effect Machines
Smoke Machine Hire
Atmosphere. It’s something you can absolutely manufacture. In fact, we hire it out via a range of effect machines like smoke machines that come in all shapes and sizes.
From compact units perfect for intimate gatherings to big 1500W beasts for outdoor shindigs, these things make the visual experience something special. They’re also essential if you’re hiring lights or lasers because you want those beams cutting through the dance floor like a hot knife through butter! (Note: Where there’s smoke, there are lasers – you can’t really see the lasers without it).
-
Will the smoke machine set off a fire alarm?
In most cases, our smoke machines won’t set off smoke alarms. However, if you’re using a lot of smoke in a small, contained space with a smoke alarm, there’s a chance it could trigger it. Always check with the venue to see if smoke machines are allowed, and ask if they can isolate the smoke alarm if needed. Do not turn off your smoke alarms!
-
How do I operate a smoke machine?
It’s a piece of cake! Just plug the unit into a power point, wait about 5 minutes for it to heat up (until the button turns green), then press the button to release the smoke.
-
Do your smoke machines come with fluid?
You bet! All our smoke machines come pre-filled with a full tank of fluid. If you think you’ll be going through a lot of smoke or using the machine outdoors, let us know, and we’ll throw in a backup bottle for you.
-
If we are hiring lights, do we really need a smoke machine?
Trust us, you won’t want to skip the smoke machine! It makes a huge difference in seeing those light beams, especially with lasers. You don’t need to fill the room with smoke—just a few short bursts will do the trick. And if you’re using lasers, smoke is an absolute must-have for that epic visual effect.
